The bike I rode during Cabin Fever 2019 was a 2017 Sonder Camino. It has an Aluminium Frame and Carbon Fork. It’s mainly a standard Rival1 Hydraulic build spec with the following major parts and upgrades.
It has a Sram Rival1 Groupset with Sram Rival Hydraulic Disc Brakes, Absoluteblack 26t Oval traction chainring with a Sram XG1150, 10-42T Cassette, Love Mud Kura Titanium Saddle, Love Mud Jekyll Pedals, Love Mud Volution Dynamo Wheelset, WTB Horizon 650×47 Roadplus TCS Light Tyres.
Additional equipment fitted included a B&M Lumotec IQ2 Luxos front light, on a raised mount, with a B&M Toplight Line Brake plus rear light, both power by the love Mud Hub dynamo. I also carried an Exposure Diablo light on my helmet’s GoPro mount. A single bottle cage on the frame’s lower mount carried an Aquapure Traveller water filter bottle.
Luggage was carried using a Restrap Saddle Holster containing an Alpkit Tapered dry bag and a Restrap Handlebar Holster containing an Alpkit 13l dry bag. The frame bag is a custom made Alpkit Fat Stingray bag designed for the Fir Vortis, but is just small enough to fit on the Camino as well.
Navigation was done using a Garmin Edge 810 on a rotated Garmin out front mount. Matt, my neighbour has kindly lent me the 810 as my Edge 1000 had died about wo days before I left. It used OSM’s of Sweden. I also had a Motorola Play G4 phone running Komoot with local maps downloaded. Both were powered by a 10,000mah Zenure A3 power bank, which was constantly charged via the dynamo through the Luxos.
The spares and tools I carried were a CO2 pump 136g, tubeless worms 5x 8g, multi tool 152g, worm tools x2 25g, 2 sonder tyre levers 21g, valve core remover, spare valve core 1g, tube glue 5g, tyre boot 2g, 6 assorted cable ties 7g, a spare gear cable 28g, disposable gloves 2g, tube patches 1g and a single wtb 27.5 1.9-2.3 inner tube 221g.
My sleeping kit was a UK Hammocks Quilt 700g, a NeoAir Xtherm Sleeping Mat 570g and Titanium Goat Raven Omni Bivi Bag 229g, which were carried int eh 13l Alpkit dry bag on the handle bars.
